Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meaningless Choice? No. 3 (Set Of Six) by Song Ling was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Ling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Meaningless Choice? No. 1 (Set Of Six), which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 2,420,000.00 (€ 223,486.05).
