Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Song Yige achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Bucket 2 sold for HKD 315,000.00 (€ 35,039.39) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Yige - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fur, which sold at auction in October 2020 for HKD 945,000.00 (€ 104,666.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Yige erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Bucket 2 für HKD 315.000,00 (€ 35.039,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Yige mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fur beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für HKD 945.000,00 (€ 104.666,44) versteigert wurde.
