The work WAVE 97-2-1 by Takesada Matsutani was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 134,509.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Takesada Matsutani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Work 65-W sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 249,291.92).

Die Arbeit WAVE 97-2-1 von Takesada Matsutani kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 134.509,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Takesada Matsutani; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Work 65-W im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 249.291,92).
