In March 2018 Christies in Paris held the auction Oeuvres Modernes sur Papier, which included the work Portrait d'homme dédoublé by Tamara de Lempicka. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tamara de Lempicka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de Marjorie Ferry in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 16,380,000.00 (€ 18,984,457.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Oeuvres Modernes sur Papier durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait d'homme dédoublé von Tamara de Lempicka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tamara de Lempicka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de Marjorie Ferry im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.380.000,00 (€ 18.984.457,14).
