Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cafe Les Deux Magots, 1993 by Tomio Seike was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,530.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomio Seike - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cafe Les Deux Magots, 1993 von Tomio Seike kam im April 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.530,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomio Seike mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78) versteigert wurde.
