Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Café des Deux Magots, Waterlillies, 1993 by Tomio Seike for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,796.11). This price was achieved in the auction Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tomio Seike have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Café des Deux Magots, Waterlillies, 1993 von Tomio Seike für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.796,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomio Seike auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78).
