Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in New York held the auction The Feminine Ideal: An Important Private Collection of Photographs, which included the work Tsis 98-1, 1988 by Tomio Seike. The price achieved of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,024.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tomio Seike have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Feminine Ideal: An Important Private Collection of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tsis 98-1, 1988 von Tomio Seike zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.024,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomio Seike auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78).
