Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Return of Fishermen under the Rain | 漁民雨中歸 by Trần Văn Thọ was sold in the La Mystique de L'Indochine auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,189.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Trần Văn Thọ have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Couturière (Lady In Couture) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Return of Fishermen under the Rain | 漁民雨中歸 von Trần Văn Thọ wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion La Mystique de L'Indochine bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.189,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Trần Văn Thọ auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Couturière (Lady In Couture) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.303,01).
