Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Trần Văn Thọ achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. In the Indochine auction, the work Village scene in Northern Vietnam sold for EUR 9,450.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Trần Văn Thọ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Couturière (Lady In Couture), which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Trần Văn Thọ erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indochine wurde die Arbeit Village scene in Northern Vietnam für EUR 9.450,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Trần Văn Thọ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Couturière (Lady In Couture) beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.303,01) versteigert wurde.
