This price was achieved in the auction The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 800.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vera Spencer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract Composition, which sold at auction in March 2011 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,193.40).

Die Arbeit Galerie Arnaud; Collage I von Vera Spencer war einem Käufer im November 2010 GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.585,00) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Vera Spencer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract Composition beobachtet, die im März 2011 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.193,40) versteigert wurde.
