This artwork by Victor Pivovarov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2021. In the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction, the work without title sold for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,854.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Pivovarov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych with a Snake in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,141.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Pivovarov erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.854,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Pivovarov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Triptych with a Snake im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 185.141,64).
