Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist, Modern & Surrealist Art Evening Sale, which included the work Study Of A Blacksmith by Vincent van Gogh. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 550,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 555,000.00 (€ 643,246.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent van Gogh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist, Modern & Surrealist Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of A Blacksmith von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 550.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 555.000,00 (€ 643.246,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
