In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Dora. Sailing at dusk by Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,501.05), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Out At Pasture, Summer in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 464,000.00 (€ 367,553.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dora. Sailing at dusk von Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.501,05) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Out At Pasture, Summer im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 464.000,00 (€ 367.553,87).
