Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Tree On The Steppe by Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 115,748.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vladimir Donatovich Orlovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Out At Pasture, Summer, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 464,000.00 (€ 367,553.87).
