This artwork by Vu Cao Dam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Maternité (Maternity) sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,476.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vu Cao Dam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femmes au bain (Women Bathing) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 849,100.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vu Cao Dam erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Maternité (Maternity) für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.476,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vu Cao Dam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femmes au bain (Women Bathing) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 849.100,57).
