Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walead Beshty could be acquired at Phillips in London in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Three Color Curl (CMY): Irvine, California, August 19th 2008, Fuji Crystal Archive Type C changed hands for GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,136.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walead Beshty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fedex® Kraft Box© 2005 FEDEX 330504 REV 10/05 SSCC, Standard Overnight, Los Angeles-Beverly Hills, trk# 8726 7182 8553, date February 13-14 2012; Standard Overnight, San Francisco-Beverly Hills, trk# 8759 1171 4523, date January 29-30 2013; Interna in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 79,951.77).
