Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Wang Fangyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2011. In the Magnificent Qing Monochrome Porcelains and Earlier Works of Art from the Gordon Collection auction, the work Dragon Calligraphy sold for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,410.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Fangyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cold Mountain in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Fangyu erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Magnificent Qing Monochrome Porcelains and Earlier Works of Art from the Gordon Collection wurde die Arbeit Dragon Calligraphy für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.410,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Fangyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cold Mountain im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41).
