Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy by Wang Fangyu. The price achieved of USD 1,000.00 (€ 934.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Fangyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cold Mountain in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Fangyu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 934,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Fangyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cold Mountain im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41).
