Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Wang Fangyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2011. In the Magnificent Qing Monochrome Porcelains and Earlier Works of Art from the Gordon Collection auction, the work Felicitations sold for USD 812.50 (€ 572.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Fangyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cold Mountain in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Fangyu erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Magnificent Qing Monochrome Porcelains and Earlier Works of Art from the Gordon Collection wurde die Arbeit Felicitations für USD 812,50 (€ 572,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Fangyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cold Mountain im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41).
