Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frauenbüste (Büste Frau L.) (Bust Of A Woman, Bust Frau L.) by Wilhelm Lehmbruck was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 748,500.00 (€ 979,008.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Wilhelm Lehmbruck have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Torso Eines Jungen Weibes was auctioned for GBP 608,750.00 (€ 1,011,254.87).
