Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poppies, Lillies, & Blue Flower by William James Glackens was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,489.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Glackens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café Lafayette (Portrait of Kay Laurell) in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 792,500.00 (€ 699,902.85).
