Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,976.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 114,068.44).

Die Arbeit Hat + Five Roses, Vogue, Paris, 1956 von William Klein wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.976,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smoke And Veil, Paris, 1958 (Vogue) im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 114.068,44).
