Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two for One by William Wegman was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,504.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Wegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On and On, 2015 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,822.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two for One von William Wegman wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.504,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Wegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On and On, 2015 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.822,95).
