Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work L'île St-Louis sous la neige, Paris by Willy James. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'île St-Louis sous la neige, Paris von Willy James zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy James mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.342,16) versteigert wurde.
