In October 2014 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction The Modern Sale, which included the work L'homme et la rue le Lapin Agile" by Willy James. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,803.35). Admittedly, works by Willy James have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion The Modern Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'homme et la rue le Lapin Agile" von Willy James zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.803,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy James auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.342,16).
