Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Character Episode I: The Ark of Obsession by Won Seoung-Won. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 55,000.00 – 85,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,319.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Won Seoung-Won have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work My Age of Seven: The Sea in My Mom's Hometown was auctioned for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,504.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Character Episode I: The Ark of Obsession von Won Seoung-Won zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.319,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Won Seoung-Won konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2011 die Arbeit My Age of Seven: The Sea in My Mom's Hometown für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.504,56) versteigert.
