This artwork by Xia Yu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September this year. In the 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work E-bike, Sunset, Dog sold for CNY 882,000.00 (€ 114,166.67) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 400,000.00. This high result makes E-bike, Sunset, Dog the most expensive artwork by Xia Yu that we have observed at auctions so far.
