Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work One Eye (Yellow) by Yamaguchi Takeo. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 2,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 3,000,000.00 (€ 341,487.37). Admittedly, works by Yamaguchi Takeo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Eye (Yellow) von Yamaguchi Takeo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 2.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 3.000.000,00 (€ 341.487,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
