Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Black Ox Bodhisattva in Pure Land of Maha by Yang Mao-Lin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 247,500.00 (€ 20,375.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Mao-Lin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Behaviour of Game - Fighting Chapter, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 524,000.00 (€ 54,437.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Black Ox Bodhisattva in Pure Land of Maha von Yang Mao-Lin kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 247.500,00 (€ 20.375,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Mao-Lin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Behaviour of Game - Fighting Chapter beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 524.000,00 (€ 54.437,71) versteigert wurde.
