Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Seascape by Yang San-Lang was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The auction ended at the price of HKD 800,000.00 (€ 73,879.69), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 680,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang San-Lang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunrise, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Seascape von Yang San-Lang wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 800.000,00 (€ 73.879,69) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 680.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang San-Lang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunrise beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85) versteigert wurde.
