Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Seascape by Yang San-Lang was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,535.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang San-Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunrise in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Seascape von Yang San-Lang wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.535,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang San-Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunrise im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85).
