Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Into the Woods by Yasmin Sison was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 31,252.02) to a buyer in May 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yasmin Sison; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Into the woods (Rabbit) sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82).
