Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art & Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Boating by Yue Minjun. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 5,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 5,420,000.00 (€ 535,513.96). Admittedly, works by Yue Minjun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Execution in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,932,500.00 (€ 4,211,262.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art & Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boating von Yue Minjun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 5.420.000,00 (€ 535.513,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yue Minjun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Execution im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.932.500,00 (€ 4.211.262,96).
