Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work 10.2.77 by Zao Wou-Ki. The price achieved of HKD 22,155,000.00 (€ 2,655,522.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000,000.00 – 28,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 10.2.77 von Zao Wou-Ki zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.155.000,00 (€ 2.655.522,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000.000,00 – 28.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
