In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand auction, the work This Land so Rich in Beauty No. 2 sold for HKD 39,850,000.00 (€ 4,513,845.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zeng Fanzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Last Supper, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 180,440,000.00 (€ 17,122,818.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 99 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zeng Fanzhi erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand wurde die Arbeit This Land so Rich in Beauty No. 2 für HKD 39.850.000,00 (€ 4.513.845,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zeng Fanzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Last Supper beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 180.440.000,00 (€ 17.122.818,89) versteigert wurde.
