Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Ball Of Yarn by Zhang Kai. The price achieved of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 21,949.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Kai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beauty in Mind in July last year with an auction result of HKD 1,020,000.00 (€ 127,275.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ball Of Yarn von Zhang Kai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 21.949,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Kai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beauty in Mind im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.020.000,00 (€ 127.275,04).
