Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Xiaogang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction, the work Bloodline : Big Family No. 13 changed hands for HKD 15,680,000.00 (€ 1,812,148.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 16,000,000.00 – 25,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiaogang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bloodline Series The Big Family No. 2 in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 98,035,000.00 (€ 10,340,568.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Xiaogang konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Bloodline : Big Family No. 13 für HKD 15.680.000,00 (€ 1.812.148,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 16.000.000,00 – 25.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaogang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bloodline Series The Big Family No. 2 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 98.035.000,00 (€ 10.340.568,27).
