This year, art KARLSRUHE will not take place as usual at the start of the German art fair year in February, but from July 7 to 10. For many months now, art industry organizers have been focusing on the positive effects of the pandemic. art KARLSRUHE is also realigning itself: It will not take place in February as usual, but uniquely from July 7 to 10. The fair deliberately incorporates a summery atmosphere into its concept: an almost 7,000 m² sculpture garden linking the four exhibition halls with 215 exhibiting galleries will lure visitors outdoors. After the pandemic, the art fair is again intended to be an experience that goes beyond the limited engagement with artworks − on the screen, for example.

Although the fair will take place in the familiar four congress halls in Karlsruhe, it is rearranging itself. In addition to the classic focus on modern and contemporary art, Hall 3 is now dedicated to special exhibitions and talks on the motto »Art and Communication«. The return to personal exchange is to be achieved with the help of the presentations Women: Klöcker Collection and the Special Exhibition on Prints. In addition, a series of lectures on the subject of the art business with, against and after Corona will take place on July 7 and 8.Art.Salon
