Three years after the canvas of Banksy's work was half-shredded with the mechanism built into the frame in front of a surprised audience, the work is being sold again in its current state. Banksy thus joins the ranks of iconoclastic art, in which the destruction of an artwork becomes a new creation, as Robert Rauschenberg and Ai Weiwei, among others, have done before him.  Banksy and many other notable late 20th- and 21st-century artists will be up for sale on October 14.

Exhibitions for the auction were already held in New York and Milan in September. The exhibition in London can be seen daily until the day of the auction. Running concurrently with the auction until October 17 are the Frieze and Frieze Masters fairs in Regent's Park, which specialize in contemporary and modern art, respectively.Art.Salon
