It is an art fair with a special character: artbook.berlin, a fair for artists' books and editions, will take place this year from November 22 to 24. Around 100 international exhibitors will be presenting exceptional artists' books, as well as etchings, lithographs and analog and digital photography. The works of art on display will be accompanied by a varied program of lectures, readings and book presentations. Since the fair was held for the first time in 2012, it has been a small highlight of Berlin's cultural autumn. The artbook.berlin can be found in the Kunstquartier Bethanien at Mariannenplatz 2 in Berlin/Kreuzberg, admission is free.

The fair is open to visitors at the following times
22.11.2024: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
23.11.2024: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm
24.11.2024: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Among the exhibiting artists is Gerlind Hentze, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program. Her works can be found at the stand of the Akademie für Malerei Berlin, where Hentze graduated in May 2024 as a master student of Andreas Amrhein. The book artist also works as a painter and sculptor. With her vulnerable yet resilient and mysterious figures, she has been represented at various solo and group exhibitions and has been nominated for several art awards. In 2016, she won 1st prize in the painting category at the European Cultural Competition of the Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Jerez de la Frontera.

Hentze's artist book Verblätterungen (2022) is inspired by the autumnal changes in nature, a process that is always the same, yet different and unique every time. The artist captures the delicate beauty of the slowly fading leaf structures, reminding viewers of the uniqueness of fleeting moments.Art.Salon
