Impressions of the Paper Positions Berlin 2021

Now in its sixth year, Paper Positions in Berlin presents contemporary and modern art devoted exclusively to drawing and the medium of paper from 28 April to 1 May. A total of 52 exhibitors will show their works in the salon-like space in the Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepräsentanz on Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt. All participating galleries and artists have dedicated themselves to the medium of paper in all its specific characteristics, its fragility and its versatility. The spatial staging and the small number of exhibitors should enable visitors to get an open view and to approach the works directly.

This year there is an innovation at the fair: The LEUE & NILL Award will be given for the first time. From now on, it will be awarded annually. Galleries that can convince with their presentation have a good chance of winning. Criteria are both the quality of the works shown and the hanging at the fair stand, which requires curatorial finesse. The prize is the financial support of the sponsor LEUE & NILL. In addition to this premiere, the PAPER ART AWARD will be bestowed for the second time and the paper positions award for the fourth time.

As usual, the Gallery Weekend in Berlin will take place parallel to Paper Positions.Art.Salon
