With Evan Ifekoya. Resonant Frequencies, the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zurich presents the first ever solo exhibition of Evan Ifekoya (*1988) in Switzerland. From January 29 to May 01, 20222, interested visitors can see how Ifekoya deals with healing through sound and silence. In cooperation with various sound artists, visual artists and instrument makers, the exhibition focuses not only on healing but also on »self-care«. Furthermore, Ifekoya's constant preoccupation with themes such as listening as a physical experience, the healing potential of sound, and the spiritual dimension of sexuality plays a role. Ifekoya made new works especially for the show, which will be presented in a space that will serve as a place for reflection and intense contemplation.
