The ARCOlisboa in Lisbon this year will take place from Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, to Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021. Otherwise usually held in May, with these adapted dates in Lisbon, the organizing committee wants to create a more suitable setting to promote the meeting of galleries, collectors, professionals and visitors. Also, this year the fair will be held at the Doca de Pedrouços marina, offering all participants the opportunity to discover and enjoy a new part of Lisbon.
In its fifth edition, ARCOlisboa will bring together around 70 galleries, the artistic offer will focus on the vibrant art scene in Portugal together with interesting contributions from around the world. In addition to the general program that forms the backbone of the fair, curated programs will also take place: First, the popular opening sequence with a specific selection of galleries put together by Kunsthalle Lissabon to introduce new artists, among others. Anotherv one is the Africa em Foco program, curated by Paula Nascimento, which offers a substantive exploration to collectors and aficionados of African art.
