For the first time since the renovation of the world-famous Grand Palais in Paris, the Salon Comparaisons will take place there again. In this remarkable show, international artists will present their positions, unique techniques and visions. The Salon Comparaisons is a cultural event in which the diversity of art becomes tangible. In addition to paintings, sculptures and installations, there will also be performances and interactive art. Visitors also have the opportunity to talk to the artists about their work. The Salon Comparaisons opens on February 18 and runs until February 22.

This year, the Hungarian artist Igor Eugen Prokop, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program, is also represented. His artworks are strongly influenced by his studies of biology and philosophy. At the Salon Comparaisons, he presents Evolution of a Scarecrow, a painting that thematizes the development of life from plants to animals to humans as the pinnacle of evolution. But is man really the non-plus-ultra of evolution? Prokop critically depicts man as a scarecrow, an artificial image without a will of its own or the ability to think. The scarecrow becomes a symbol of an immoral society and man's weaknesses, which call into question his position as the self-proclaimed king of all life.

Igor Eugen Prokop is an award-winning artist whose work reflects his love of nature. In multi-layered, mosaic-like paintings, he explores the behavior and misbehavior of people and the place of man in the complex system of nature, in which everything is interconnected and influences each other.Art.Salon
