Painting is a profound exploration, an exchange between artist and canvas: self-taught artist Ben Plaumann allows himself to be guided by emotions during the painting process and by the responses that the emerging artwork gives him. When the artist immerses himself deeply in the world of colors—gold, silver, black, and red—accompanied by classical music, jazz, or RnB, it becomes a reflection of his character, shaped by an eventful life. The expressive, contrasting works of art encourage a meditative exploration of the human inner life. Four of the artist's acrylic paintings are on display at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami until March 12, presented by Galeria Azur in the Atrium exhibition.

Ben Plaumann comes from Berlin and lives in Schleswig-Holstein. He also lived in the USA for a short time. He prefers to work with acrylic paints, and his painting techniques are constantly changing under the influence of his artistic and personal development. His artworks have been exhibited in Berlin and New York, among other places.

In Miami, Plaumann is showing two works from his Schwarzes Gold (Black Gold) series and two from Antik-anmutend (Antique-looking). Both series are dominated by gold tones, but each follows its own path: in Schwarzes Gold, gold is juxtaposed with black and bold red, suggesting inner conflicts; in Antik-anmutend, gold harmonizes with silver and impulsive but restrained red to create surreal-looking appearances.Art.Salon
