Sparsely populated Australia is one of the most prosperous and progressive countries in the world. The latest technologies and modern economy meet a love of nature − and extreme climatic conditions that are being exacerbated by climate change. A small but mighty biennial, taking place this year for the fourth time, presents current artworks by Australian artists that could be groundbreaking for the development of art and society in the 21st century. The National 4: Australian Art Now runs from March 31 to July 9, 2023, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney.

Organized by five women curators, this edition of the biennial promises to be bigger and more successful than its predecessors. It quickly established itself on the Australian art scene, with over 150 artists exhibiting their work there so far, and over a million visitors flocking to the venue. With a global theme like that of the future life of mankind, the Biennale underscores its relevance beyond national borders.Art.Salon
