on the border between figuration and abstraction
It is important to me to combine figurative with unrecognizable motifs in order to leave an uncertainty in relation to what is shown. I simply like to paint and the conception of a picture is partly based on conception, partly I leave the basic mood to chance, which I then refine.
Thematically, I work in series that deal partly with social themes, such as the visualization of the problem of plastic packaging, partly with personal memories and partly with impressions from nature.
I am an Austrian artist specializing in painting, photography and relief paintings in various materials.
