The »bidding war« ended at INR 1,250,000.00 (€ 17,381.90), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abanindranath Tagore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Siva-Simantini) in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 555,750.00 (€ 410,602.14).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait Of Dhirendra Krishna Deb Barman) von Abanindranath Tagore wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion The India Sale bei Christies in Mumbai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von INR 1.250.000,00 (€ 17.381,90) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abanindranath Tagore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Siva-Simantini) im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 555.750,00 (€ 410.602,14).
