This artwork by Abanindranath Tagore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2013. In the The Art of Nandalal Bose, Abanindranath Tagore and Rabindranath Tagore: The Supratik Bose Collection auction, the work Untitled (Kaikeyi And Manthara) sold for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,623.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abanindranath Tagore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Siva-Simantini) in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 555,750.00 (€ 410,602.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Abanindranath Tagore erzielte im September 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Art of Nandalal Bose, Abanindranath Tagore and Rabindranath Tagore: The Supratik Bose Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Kaikeyi And Manthara) für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.623,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abanindranath Tagore erzielen.
