This artwork by Abdul Kadir Al Rassam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Riverside scene sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,687.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abdul Kadir Al Rassam; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Iraqi untitled sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,504.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Abdul Kadir Al Rassam erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Riverside scene für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.687,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Abdul Kadir Al Rassam; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Iraqi untitled im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.504,89).
